Accounting Associate – French Accounting

Under the supervision of an engagement manager or chartered accountant, you will manage the day-to-day accounting for a varied portfolio of clients (small businesses/SMEs, BIC, BNC) located exclusively in France. You will work across the entire accounting process, from data entry through to the preparation of financial statements, in compliance with French Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (Plan Comptable Général, PCG). Main responsibilities Bookkeeping: Collecting and entering accounting documents (purchases, sales, expense reports, bank transactions). Bank Reconciliations: Matching and reconciling accounts to ensure balances are consistent. Routine Tax Compliance: Preparing VAT returns (CA3, CA12) and CFE/CVAE returns. Accounting Review: Analyzing third-party accounts (customers/suppliers) and preparing adjusting entries (FNP, CCA, AAR). Contributing to the preparation of interim financial statements and annual review files.
