Key Responsibilities Design, develop, maintain, and optimize database systems. Write complex and efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers . Design and implement database structures based on business and technical requirements. Develop logical and physical data models. Optimize database performance, queries, indexes, and database structures. Analyze and troubleshoot database errors, performance issues, and data-related problems. Perform data migration, transformation, integration, and validation. Ensure data integrity, consistency, and reliability. Implement appropriate database security and access controls. Collaborate with software developers and backend engineers to support application development. Support integration between databases, backend systems, APIs, and other business applications. Participate in database architecture and technical design discussions. Monitor database performance and identify opportunities for optimization. Develop and maintain technical documentation for database structures, processes, and solutions. Participate in testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities. Follow version control, development, testing, and documentation best practices. Work independently while collaborating effectively with international teams. Core RequirementsDatabase & SQL Skills Minimum 4 years of professional experience in Database Programming, Database Development, SQL Development, or a related field. Strong proficiency in SQL . Strong understanding of relational database concepts. Experience designing and developing database structures. Knowledge of database architecture and data modeling. Experience writing complex: SQL queries Stored procedures Functions Triggers Views Strong understanding of database normalization . Experience with query optimization and performance tuning. Understanding of indexing strategies and database performance concepts. Experience with data manipulation, migration, transformation, and integration. Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills. Understanding of database security, permissions, and access control. Ability to maintain accurate technical documentation. Database Technologies Experience with one or more of the following database technologies is required or highly desirable: Microsoft SQL Server PostgreSQL MySQL Oracle Database Other relational database management systems Strong practical experience with at least one major relational database platform is expected. Experience working with multiple database technologies is a plus. Backend & System Integration Experience in the following areas is highly valued: Backend application development environments REST APIs Database-to-application integration Data access layers ETL and data integration processes Application/database performance optimization Database connectivity and API integrations Distributed or cloud-based systems Experience collaborating with software developers and backend engineers is particularly valuable.
